wright stain kit is improved based on the romanowsky stain principle. cell staining relies on physical adsorption and chemical affinity as dyes penetrate and remain inside cells. different cells and cellular components have varied chemical properties, leading to different affinity for the acidic dye eosin and basic dye methylene blue contained in wright stain. after staining, different cells show distinct colors to facilitate morphological identification.

unopened reagents in original package have a shelf life of 2 years. opened reagents within the valid period should be used up within 6 months. tightly close the bottle cap after each use to prevent volatilization and deterioration.

store the reagents in a well ventilated environment at 5 degree c to 30 degree c, with relative humidity not more than 80% and no corrosive gas.

whole blood smear staining: fresh whole blood or edta (2k) anticoagulated blood is required.

bone marrow smear staining: air-dry smears quickly by shaking or fanning after preparation to avoid cell shrinkage and hemolysis caused by humid air. high temperature or fire baking drying is prohibited.
