Can staining solutions from different manufacturers be used interchangeably?

It is strictly prohibited to cross-use or mix staining solutions of the same type but from different manufacturers. Although these staining reagents have the same name and same application purpose, each manufacturer adopts different formulas, raw material proportions, pH parameters and additive components. Different brands of staining liquids are chemically incompatible.

Mixed use will cause unpredictable chemical reactions inside the staining system, resulting in reagent deterioration, precipitation, abnormal pH changes and reduced dye activity. In actual laboratory operation, cross-brand reagent replacement often leads to serious staining failures, including uneven staining, blurred cell morphology, excessive background noise, faded color rendering, and inaccurate microscopic identification.

To ensure stable staining effect, consistent test results and normal instrument operation, all supporting staining solutions must be used in complete sets from the same manufacturer. Do not mix or replace with other brands of reagents arbitrarily to avoid abnormal experimental results and equipment contamination.
